Assemblies and Groups for Automotive sector

Over the years, the Automotive sector developed and defined Unified Construction Specifics for each type of Assembly to be built, such as:

  • Clutch Group;
  • Complete wheel hub;
  • Steering assembly;
  • Brake Disc Group;
  • Etc...

Each of them, therefore, has precise specifics and related conditions of use and homologation.

Load Types

Load Types

Depending on load values, load direction and required speed, many technical solutions are available: since Deep Groove Ball Bearings (DGBB), passing through Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearing (DRACBB), up to Double Row Tapered Roller Bearings (DRTRB). Also Thrust Bearing for Clutch Group are available, as per Axial Ball Bearings (ABB).

Working Temperatures and Bearing Life Test, on bench

Working Temperatures and Bearing Life Test, on bench

Expected life evaluation and relative achievement are also no less important targets.
Thanks to accelerated life tests, on the bench, we can check the evolution of the temperatures and involved vibrations. In particular, many kind of materials are available (Standard and Custom) in order to ensure the compliance with the expected conditions.

Accessories, Tone Wheels and Encoders

Accessories, Tone Wheels and Encoders

Adding to what described, we can combine the supply with small parts, accessories and devices to be readed by sensors. In particular, ABS systems require RPM reading by mechanical devices (tone wheels) or by magnetic devices (polarized encoders)

Key features

Key features

1. Analysis & Technical Feasibility, in order to pass the Homologation Test on Final Customer Appliance;
2. Documentations & PPAP, Automotive level;
3. Coupling tollerances and Clearances, designed to meet mounting exigences;
4. Super pure 100Cr6 steels to increase the bearing life;
5. Plastic or Steel Cages, to Gabbie in Plastica to support the best behavior of the rolling elements;
6. Seals and Lubricant Materials, to ensure the thermal behavior with applicance conditions;
7. Life Test, on bench, monitoring temperatures and vibrations;
8. Sealing infiltration test, with dust and mud, through the use of mixtures with prescribed particle size;
9. Comparative tests with similar product, market standard or customized solutions

Our Challenges

Our Challenges

1. Operative conditions
- Vechicle nominal data;
- Simulating the Duty Cycle;
- Achieving the“Killer test” by Final Customer;

2. Homologation needs
- Accelerated Life test, on bench;
- Resistance to developed heat;
- Sealing efficiency (ahead intrusions by Dust and Mud).
